I am sitting here at the Charlottesville-Albermarle airport waiting for my flight out.
I happened upon this earlier in the day, and couldn't let it go without mention. Various California universities are considering a standardized test for Internet competency to be completed before admission to college. The test will not become mandatory for a few years, but may be available as early as this fall on a volutary basis.
The proponents of such an exam are teaming up with Educational Testing Service to create the test. Doesn't ETS already have a monopoly on these admission tests? I think we are all familiar with the $100+ cost of the GRE!
If it's on the Internet it must be true. Do I pass?
